DPIIT Partners with YourStory to Empower 1 Million Entrepreneurs Across India
In a landmark move to strengthen India’s grassroots startup ecosystem, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with YourStory Media Pvt. Ltd.. The initiative is aimed at empowering 1 million entrepreneurs across Tier II, Tier III, and rural India through digital tools, AI integration, and regional language content under The Bharat Project.
This MoU is a strategic step by DPIIT to democratize entrepreneurship, ensuring access to resources, networks, and knowledge for aspiring founders beyond metro cities. The collaboration leverages AI-powered platforms, local language storytelling, and startup-focused events to build an inclusive and innovation-driven economy.
