First Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi passes away

The first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Ajit Jogi has passed away. A bureaucrat-turned politician, Ajit Jogi was a mass leader who dominated the state’s politics for long time. He was an MLA from Marwahi seat in the current assembly.

Chhattisgarh came into existence in November 2000 and Ajit Jogi served as the first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh from November 2000 to November 2003.
