Gujarat Police Launch 'Operation Surakshit Cyberspace' to Strengthen Online Safety for Women and Children
Gujarat Police have launched ‘Operation Surakshit Cyberspace’, it is a 28 day statewide campaign aimed at to make the digital space safer for women and children. The initiative began on 1st of July, 2026, and it will continue till 28th July, 2026. Operation Surakshit Cyberspace of Gujarat is a statewide cyber safety initiative, it was launched by the Gujarat Police to prevent cybercrimes affecting women and children.
The campaign integrates intelligence-led policing, digital awareness, community engagement and technological tools to identify cyber threats and assist victims while improving law enforcement response.
This initiative was set to be implemented under the guidance of Director General of Police G.S. Malik, and it is coordinated by the CID Crime-Women Cell.

Encourage around 20 lakh students to take the Cyber Safety Pledge.
Organising multiple awareness programs in 10,000 schools and 1,500 colleges in the state.
Try to reach one lakh adolescent girls with sessions on cyberstalking, online harassment, digital privacy and internet safety.
Also, ensure preliminary police action within 24 hours of every cyber complaint involving women and children.
