Hitachi India has announced that N Venu will become the new Managing Director (MD) of the company starting from June 2, 2025. This major leadership change follows the promotion of Bharat Kaushal, who will become the Executive Chairman of Hitachi India from April 1, 2025.
Bharat Kaushal was the first Indian MD of Hitachi India. He has now been promoted to the role of Executive Chairman of Hitachi India. He is also a Corporate Officer at Hitachi Ltd. His leadership has been important in helping Hitachi grow in India.
N Venu already holds important roles in the company. He is the Managing Director & CEO of Hitachi Energy India and also the Region Head of South Asia for Hitachi Energy. From June 2025, he will take on the additional responsibility of being the MD of Hitachi India.
As MD, N Venu will help expand Hitachi’s presence in India. His goal is to support Hitachi’s new management plan called ‘‘Inspire 2027,” which focuses on growth through digital technology and innovation. He will also work to bring together around 28 Hitachi group companies in India to create more value for customers.
Hitachi sees India as a very important country for business. The company is growing in areas like railways, digital services, energy, financial inclusion, education and healthcare. Bharat Kaushal said that Venu’s appointment shows Hitachi’s strong commitment to making India a major part of its global business.
