About the Drone

The drone installed with automated sprayer has the capability of accomplishing the task of sanitising the area in less than 15 minutes which would otherwise take a person 1.5 days of work. The drone can be operated by using a mobile app and will enable just one person in sanitizing large areas. Hence, it is an effective alternative to the manual spraying disinfectants which needs more cleaners. The drone has a signal range of 3 km and can cover more than 1.2 hectare in one flight and more than 60 hectares in a day.

The team of Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati has approached the state governments of Assam and Uttarakhand offering to join the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic with their sprayer system.
