India's GST Collections Rise 15.4% to ₹2.11 Lakh Crore in July 2026
According to the monthly GST revenue report released by the government, the total GST collections in India in July 2026 reached to ₹2.11 lakh crore, it showed the growth of 15.4% year-on-year (YoY). This considerable increase in the GST collections in July can be attributed because of the good growth in domestic taxes and sharp rise in the GST collections from international trade. This latest figures showcases the continued resilience of the economic activity of the country, good compliance with the tax regulations, and normal business performance despite facing the global geopolitical tensions.
The total gross GST collections in the month of July 2026 stood at around ₹2.11 lakh crore, and compared with the last year’s July figures, it showcasing the steady growth in tax collection.

The data showcases a strong economic activity brought up by continued domestic consumption and increased tax earnings from import activity.
One of the factors that boosted the GST collection in July is the rise in domestic tax collections by 1.45 lakh crore, which proves that business transactions are steady, as well as consumer demand.
The growth of tax imposed on imports provided an even better result. This GST measure on imports increased by 28.8% year on year, reaching 66.5 thousand crores in revenue.
Thus, due to good domestic tax revenues combined with improved taxes on imports, the government has gained one of the best monthly GST results this year.
Also, there has been a surge in the number of GST refunds in July as the authorities have been able to process tax claims faster.
