India’s Legendary Photographer Raghu Rai Dies, Marking End of an Era
The renowned photojournalist Raghu Rai was passed away at the age of 83 and he left the powerful visual legacy which have documented the India’s social, political and the cultural journey. His passing marks the end of an era in the Indian photography where his lens captured the both the beauty and complexity of the nation.
Raghu Rai had breathed his last after the prolonged health struggle.
According to his family he had been battling the cancer for several years. Though he had recovered from earlier stages but the illness later spread to his brain and it is coupled with age-related issues.
His family confirmed he was earlier diagnosed with the prostate cancer and also the disease later spread to the stomach and brain.
Despite these health challenges Mr. Rai has remained a respected figure in the photography world until his final days.
