Punjab Kings Set New IPL Record with Historic 265-Run Chase Against Delhi Capitals
Punjab Kings have delivered the sensational performance in the IPL history as they have chased down the massive 265-run target against the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The Punjab Kings have not only secured the memorable victory but they also broke their own record of the 262 runs set in 2024 against the Kolkata Knight Riders. This chase against Delhi stand out as the highest successful chase in the IPL history.
The Delhi Capitals had posted the massive total with huge contribution by sensational innings by KL Rahul.
He have scored the 152 off 67 balls and become the only the third player in IPL history to cross the 150-run mark after the Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum.
He also stitched the massive 220-run partnership with Nitish Rana who have played the 91 run innings and supported the KL Rahul.
And with this contributions they have put the 264 runs massive total on the board.
The Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya looked so aggressive as they want to chase this target as soon as possible. This duo came out with aggressive intent and they have smashed the 126 runs in just 42 balls.
Prabhsimran have scored the 76 and Arya helped with his 73 have ensured that the required run rate never became the concern for them.
The Captain of the team Shreyas Iyer once again his leadership role and guide the team for the historical chase.
