Khelo India Youth Games 2022 is going to be held in Haryana. The chief minister of Haryana has announced Haryana will be the host for the fourth season of the khelo India 2022. Due to the pandemic the khelo India youth Games got delayed and is going to be held during June. Earlier, khelo India youth Games were held in January every year. The winner of the Khelo India Youth Games 2021, was the Host state, Haryana. They won 52 gold, 39 silver and 46 bronze medals on the final day. The total number of medals won by Haryana is 137. Haryana surpassed the last year’s winning state Maharashtra in the last surge. Maharashtra bagged the second position this year and won 45 gold medals, 40 Silver medals and 40 bronze medals. The total number of medals was 125. Lastly, Karnataka bagged the third position in KIYG by winning 22 gold, 17 silver and 28 bronze medals, which in total is 67 medals.
The first edition of khelo India youth Games was inaugurated on 31 January 2018 by Prime minister Narendra Modi. In 2019, khelo India school games were renamed to khelo India youth Games. The khelo India youth Games was started with the goals of making young students participate in various sports events and encouraging them to play.

Khelo India youth Games 2022, will be commenced in six different states Maharashtra, Assam,Madhya Pradesh, Dadra and Nagra Haveli, Daman and diu and Meghalaya. The participants of the khelo India youth Games will be given 5 lacks per year for their sportsmanship development. It is a two week last ng sports event in which more than 8000 players are going to participate and show their game.

Eligibility- students below the age of 17 can take part in this event and the candidates must be a student.
The selected students will be given five lakh for eight years by the government to establish their talent. The event is generally sponsored by the government of India. All the facilities are provided by the government for the candidates.
