Kishor Makwana Assumes Charge as Chairman of National Commission for Scheduled Castes

Kishor Makwana has assumed the charge of Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) in New Delhi. Shri Luv Kush Kumar has also taken charge as a Member of the NCSC.

Commitment to Safeguarding SC Community’s Interests

After assuming his new role, Shri Kishor Makwana addressed the media, expressing his commitment to working tirelessly to safeguard the interests and rights of the Scheduled Castes community.

Proactive Approach to Justice and Harmony

Shri Makwana emphasized that the Commission will not only ensure justice for the Scheduled Castes but will also remain proactive in preventing any form of injustice against the community. He highlighted the NCSC’s role in engaging in the planning process for the socio-economic development of the Scheduled Castes and preventing atrocities against them. Maintaining social harmony and harmony within society will be a key focus area.

Diverse Background and Accomplishments

Shri Makwana has served as a joint spokesperson for the Gujarat unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is also a journalist, columnist, and author of more than 33 books on various subjects, including the life and works of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Swami Vivekananda, and Shivaji Maharaj.

Some of his notable works include ‘Samajik Kranti na Mahanayak Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’ (great hero of the social revolution – Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar), ‘Swami Vivekananda’, ‘Safalta no Mantra’ (Mantra of Success), ‘Samar Nahin Samarasata’ (Harmony; not the resonance), ‘Common man Narendra Modi’ (which has been adapted into a web series), ‘Krantiveer Birsa Munda’ (Revolutionist Birsa Munda), and ‘Yugpravratak Shivaji Maharaj’ (Epoch-maker Shivaji Maharaj). He has written nine books on Dr. Ambedkar and has translated and edited numerous works.

Presidential Appointment

Shri Kishor Makwana assumed charge as the Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, Government of India, after being appointed by the President of India.

With his diverse background and commitment to the welfare of the Scheduled Castes community, Kishor Makwana is poised to lead the National Commission for Scheduled Castes in its efforts to promote justice, prevent atrocities, and foster socio-economic development for this marginalized community. His appointment, along with Shri Luv Kush Kumar as a Member, aims to strengthen the Commission’s mandate and ensure the protection of the rights and interests of the Scheduled Castes.
