KSLU Confers Honorary Doctorate on AP Governor Abdul Nazeer

In a moment of academic distinction and public recognition, Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws by the Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) during its seventh convocation held in Dharwad. The ceremony, which took place at the Farmers’ Knowledge Centre, University of Agricultural Sciences, celebrated Nazeer’s contributions to the legal field and public service.

The event was presided over by Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, who serves as the Chancellor of KSLU. Presenting the honorary degree to Abdul Nazeer, Gehlot highlighted the university’s tradition of recognizing individuals who have made notable contributions to law, justice, and governance.
Also in attendance was H K Patil, Minister for Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs, and Legislation in Karnataka, who is also the Pro-Chancellor of KSLU.
The presence of senior legal, academic, and political dignitaries added to the stature of the occasion.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Nazeer expressed gratitude to KSLU for the honour and reaffirmed his commitment to justice, constitutional values, and legal education.
