Their joint mission is to create awareness about career opportunities among the youth of Northeastern India through the ‘Khamree Mo Sikkim‘ outreach programme. This partnership not only reflects the commitment of all stakeholders to the Northeast region but also demonstrates the potential for positive change through collective efforts.

Setting Sail on a 6,500 km Expedition

  • The expedition’s route is carefully planned to cover key regions, including Mhow, Jhansi, Lucknow, Varanasi, Patna, Bagdogra, Gangtok, Lachen, Gurudongma, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Vishakhapatnam, and Hyderabad.

Promoting Development In The Northeastern region

  • The main goal is to educate and inspire young individuals about the diverse opportunities within the Navy, while also fostering and reinforcing connections with the local communities in the region.

Three Distinct Stretches with Unique Objectives

The ‘Khamree Mo Sikkim’ expedition is divided into three distinct stretches, each with its unique focus and purpose:

  • Stretch 1: INS Shivaji to Bagdogra

The first stretch of the expedition will take the participants from INS Shivaji to Bagdogra, covering diverse landscapes and engaging with local communities along the way.

  • Stretch 2: Comprehensive Coverage of Sikkim

Stretch 2 will comprehensively cover the state of Sikkim, providing an opportunity to empower and inspire the youth in this region.

  • Stretch 3: Gangtok to INS Shivaji

The final stretch of the expedition will extend from Gangtok, Sikkim, back to INS Shivaji, with a particular focus on empowering the youth in rural areas along the eastern coastal region.

Engaging with Local Communities

  • As the convoy of Maruti Suzuki vehicles and Indian Navy officials journeys through diverse states on this epic adventure, they will engage closely with local communities.
  • They plan to deliver motivational lectures and provide invaluable guidance on defense entrance exams at esteemed educational institutions.
  • Additionally, the expedition participants will partake in captivating visits to historically significant monuments, fostering a sense of pride and unity among all involved.

Empowering Northeastern Youth
