Mithun Manhas Elected 37th BCCI President
In a major development for Indian cricket governance, Mithun Manhas, former Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir cricketer, has been elected unopposed as the 37th President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The announcement was made during the 94th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the BCCI held in Mumbai on 28 September 2025. Manhas succeeds Roger Binny, who stepped down in August 2025, with Rajeev Shukla serving as the interim president until this election. The election marks a continued trend of former cricketers transitioning into top administrative roles in Indian cricket.
The election results underscore a strategic shift toward appointing individuals with cricketing backgrounds into executive positions.
