The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) launched Pharmaceutical Database Management System 2.0 and Pharma Sahi Daam 2.0 app during the celebration of the silver jubilee on 29th August 2022. The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority has provided quality products for years. The Union Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya urged NPPA to produce medicines and conduct innovative research to ensure good health and well-being of people other than for commercial purposes. The Pharmaceutical Database Management System 2.0 and Pharma Sahi Daam 2.0 app were launched during the inaugural event.

The Integrated Pharmaceutical Database Management System 2.0 (IPDMS) is a cloud-based application that is developed by NPPA with the technical support of the Centre for Advance Computing (C-DAC).
•It can optimize synergies in operations to promote the government’s thrust on ‘Ease of Doing Business.
• IPDMS will provide a single window for the submission of various forms as mandated under the Durg Price Control Order (DPCO).
• IPDMS enables paperless functioning of NPPA and facilities the stakeholders to connect with it from across the country.
The Pharma Sahi Daam 2.0 will have updated and improved features including speech recognition, available in both Hindi and English, a Share button, and medicine bookmarking. The updated Pharma Sahi Daam 2.0 app will have facilities to launch complaints by the user or consumer. The app is available on both iOS and Android versions.
