India has taken a major step toward multilingual digital empowerment with the launch of VoicERA, an open-source Voice AI stack, at the India AI Impact Summit 2026. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) unveiled the platform on the BHASHINI infrastructure, strengthening India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).
