PM Initiates 8 AMRUT Projects Worth Rs. 2,000 Crores In Solapur, Maharashtra

 

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, marked a historic day in Solapur, Maharashtra, by laying the foundation stone for 8 AMRUT projects and dedicating over 90,000 completed houses under PMAY-Urban. The event also witnessed the distribution of PM-SVANIDHI benefits to 10,000 beneficiaries, showcasing the government’s commitment to inclusive development.

AMRUT Projects: A Boost to Urban Transformation

In a significant stride towards urban rejuvenation, Prime Minister Modi kickstarted eight AMRUT projects, collectively valued at around Rs. 2,000 crores. These projects aim to enhance infrastructure, utilities, and overall living standards in Solapur, Maharashtra.

PMAY-Urban Success: Homes for Thousands

Shri Modi dedicated more than 90,000 houses completed under PMAY-Urban in Maharashtra, providing a sense of security and stability to thousands of families. The inauguration of 15,000 houses in the Raynagar Housing Society, Solapur, is particularly noteworthy, benefitting handloom workers, vendors, power loom workers, rag pickers, Bidi workers, drivers, and others.

PM-SVANIDHI: Empowering Entrepreneurs

During the event, the Prime Minister initiated the distribution of the 1st and 2nd instalments to 10,000 beneficiaries of PM-SVANIDHI in Maharashtra. This move aims to support and uplift small businesses, further contributing to economic growth at the grassroots level.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi shared his excitement for the upcoming Pran Pratishtha at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya Dham on January 22nd. The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of this event, expressing confidence in conducting the ritual with the blessings of citizens.

PM Modi, emotionally reflecting on the fulfillment of promises, highlighted the completion of the largest society under PM Awas Yojna. He reiterated his commitment to providing dignified living conditions and expressed joy at witnessing the realization of dreams for thousands of families.

Empowering the Poor: A Decade of Dedication

The Prime Minister credited the government’s relentless efforts in the past decade, leading to the upliftment of 25 crore people from poverty. He emphasized the need for economic security, citing various schemes like One Nation One Ration Card, Ayushman Card, and life insurance initiatives for the poor.

Ensuring economic security for the poor, the Prime Minister outlined various life insurance schemes, providing a Rs. 2 lakh cover for accidents and life insurance. He revealed that Rs. 16,000 crores have been disbursed in the form of insurance to support poor families in times of need.

Aatmnirbhar Bharat: Fostering Self-Reliance

PM Modi stressed the role of small and cottage industries in building an Aatmnirbhar Bharat. He outlined various schemes supporting MSMEs, including the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, One District One Product Scheme, and campaigns like Vocal for Local and Made in India.

Infrastructure Development: Paving the Way for Economic Growth

Acknowledging the role of cities like Solapur in India’s economic expansion, the Prime Minister assured citizens that India would soon be among the top three economies globally. He highlighted ongoing development projects, including road connectivity and the completion of highways like Sant Gyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg.
