The Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust extended a significant invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking him to attend the installation of Lord Ram’s idol in the ‘Garbhagriha‘ of the Ram Mandir at the Ayodhya temple, which Prime Minister Modi politely accepted. The date set for this auspicious occasion is January 22, 2024.
The invitation was personally delivered during a meeting with the Prime Minister. Members of the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust were in attendance as they presented the request. Prime Minister Modi graciously accepted the invitation, thereby confirming his presence on January 22. Champat Rai, the Trust’s general secretary also emphasized that the date for the ‘Pran Pratishtha‘ has been officially confirmed.
The construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been a long-anticipated dream for many. It began following a prolonged legal battle that culminated with the Supreme Court’s ruling in 2019, which paved the way for the temple’s construction. The construction of the Ram Temple at the birthplace of Lord Ram in Ayodhya was a significant electoral pledge of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Narendra Modi. Subsequently, following the Supreme Court’s verdict, the government established the ‘Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra’ Trust, which was entrusted with making all decisions related to the temple’s construction.

While the progress on the Ram Temple is well underway, some concerns remain unaddressed. Notably, there has been dissatisfaction among the Muslim community regarding the construction of a mosque in Ayodhya. This has led to calls for changes in the trustees of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation, which is overseeing the mosque’s construction. Despite the upcoming plans to install Lord Ram’s idol in the temple in January, the foundation stone for the mosque has not been laid yet.
With the ground-level construction of the three-story Ram temple now completed, the temple trust has chosen Makar Sankranti, January 14, as the date for the commencement of Ram Lalla’s consecration. This occasion is set to be an incredible milestone in the history of Ayodhya and India, symbolizing a fulfillment of a long-cherished dream for millions of people. As Prime Minister Modi graces the occasion on January 22, the nation will witness the culmination of a decades-long journey towards the realization of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
