PM Modi’s Address at Economic Times World Leaders Forum

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the Economic Times World Leaders Forum in New Delhi, where he highlighted India’s economic growth, governance, and global ambitions.

India’s Economic Growth

PM Modi emphasized that India’s economy has grown by 90% over the last decade, significantly outpacing the global economy’s 35% growth. He attributed this success to sustained reforms and assured that the government remains committed to continued growth.

Transformation Through Governance

He outlined the government’s mantra of “Reform, Perform, and Transform,” emphasizing that the efforts over the past decade have improved the lives of millions. PM Modi noted that 25 crore people have risen out of poverty, creating a “Neo-Middle Class” that is now a driving force in India’s progress.

Infrastructure Development

The Prime Minister highlighted recent infrastructure projects, including the launch of new Vande Bharat trains and the expansion of metro systems in cities like Pune, Thane, and Bangalore. He underscored the government’s transformative approach to infrastructure, aimed at enhancing the ease of living for all citizens.

Global Aspirations and Vision for the Future

PM Modi stressed India’s aspiration to become a global manufacturing hub, support for MSMEs, and the significant progress in initiatives like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes. He also discussed the government’s commitment to making India a hub of knowledge, research, and innovation, with significant investments in education and health.

Sustainability and Global Leadership

PM Modi underlined India’s leadership in the green energy sector, with ambitious targets for green hydrogen production and renewable energy. He also spoke about promoting organic and natural farming practices, aiming to position India as a global food basket.

Tourism and Inclusive Development

The Prime Minister identified tourism as a key pillar of India’s growth and emphasized the need for inclusive global development, particularly for the Global South. He reiterated India’s role as a voice for these nations during its G-20 Presidency.

Commitment to Future Growth

PM Modi concluded by reaffirming India’s resolve to become a developed nation by 2047. He called on citizens and stakeholders to contribute to this journey, emphasizing the importance of innovation, inclusion, and international cooperation in achieving this goal.
