The number of self-made women billionaires worldwide has reached a record 150 in 2026. This numbers are according to the latest Hurun report. Their combined wealth has surged to $470 billion and it is marking a sharp rise driven by various sectors. In World, China continues to dominate the list also new entrants highlight the expanding base of entrepreneurship.

This 2026 report highlights rapid growth over the past decade. The number just doubled from just 75 a decade ago to 150 today and will showing strong momentum in wealth creation.

  • Total wealth reached at $470 billion and it is up 52% in three years
  • 60 new entrants added in 2026 alone
  • Around the 15 billionaires dropped off the list
  • Over 80% are new compared to the decade ago

China Dominates In Ranking

China maintained the top sport in rankings with 78 billionaires. This numbers are accounting for more than half of the total.

The United States follows with 40 but on the side other countries lag far behind.

Cities like Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing have become major hubs for women entrepreneurs in China and World.

A major trend it is the rise of artificial intelligence as a wealth engine.
