The prestigious International Film Festival of India (IFFI), an annual cinematic extravaganza, is gearing up for its 54th edition, set to unfold in the picturesque state of Goa from November 20 to November 28, 2023. As one of the largest celebrations of global cinema in South Asia, IFFI is a hotbed of artistic brilliance, drawing thousands of cinema enthusiasts and top talents from the international film industry.
In a recent announcement, IFFI unveiled the distinguished members of its international jury panel, with acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur leading the team. These jury members will play a pivotal role in evaluating entries for the International Competition and the Best Debut Feature Film of a Director Award at the festival.
The ‘International Competition’ section at IFFI 2023 will spotlight 15 acclaimed feature films representing emerging trends in film aesthetics and politics. This segment will present both established and emerging voices across diverse film genres.
