Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, became the first captain in cricket history to win 13 straight T20Is. This accomplishment was made by Rohit in Southampton’s first T20I of a three-match series against England. Rohit Sharma led the Men in Blue to victories over New Zealand, the West Indies, Sri Lanka, and now England after taking over as captain from Virat Kohli.

  • Hardik Pandya’s all-around effort raised India’s total to 198/8 in the first innings. Additionally scoring 24, 39, and 33 runs were Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rohit Sharma.
  • Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan both got two wickets for England, while Topley, Tymal Mills, and Parkinson each claimed one wicket.
  • The English were stopped at 148 by rookie Arshdeep Singh, spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, and one apiece from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel.
