In order to determine the minimum qualifying marks for RRB Group D and to provide weightage to CCAA applicants, the Percentile Score of each candidate will be translated into “Normalized Marks” by interpolating raw marks into “Base Shift” using a standard mathematical procedure.
In RRB Group D, A shift is considered to be a “Base Shift” if it has the “Highest Mean” (Average) of all CBT Shifts and its “Present Candidate Count” is 70% or higher than the average of all Shifts. The shift with the highest individual marks will be regarded as the “Base Shift” if the “Highest Mean” of the two shifts is the same. If the “Highest Mean” and “Highest Individual Marks” are identical, the shift with the “Highest Present Candidate” will be selected. According to the notice, if the “Highest Mean” and “Highest Individual Marks” are equal, the shift with the “Highest Present Candidate Count” will be used to break the tie.
The RRB announced in a notification on December 6, 2022, that the minimum percentage of marks required for eligibility in the following categories: UR-40%, EWS-40%, OBC (Non-creamy layer)-30%, SC- 30%, and ST-30% will be considered for candidates.
Candidates who pass the CBT exam will be summoned for recruitment for the 103769 Group D positions following the Physical Efficiency Test and document verification. The RRB Group D Phase 1 exams were held from August 17 through August 25, while the Phase II exams were held from August 26 through September 8, 2022. Through this recruitment exam, more than 1 lakh Group D positions would be filled.
