19 Employers onboarded to provide job training and employment opportunities

During the event, 19 employers signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) to become captive employers and engage in this initiative, which is expected to bridge the gap between job seekers and job providers. The program also aims to make India the skill capital of the world, and the MoU signed between the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) and the captive employers is the first step towards achieving this goal. The Minister invited suggestions from the employers to make the program more effective and rewarding.

Captive Employment initiative bridges gap between job seekers and providers

The Captive Employer scheme is a significant step towards providing livelihoods to rural youth under the DDU-GKY program. This initiative is unique and provides hands-on training with the relevant Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) to meet industry requirements. The scheme aims to address the vision of a dynamic and demand-based skilling ecosystem catering to the requirements of industry partners, which will provide sustainable placements for rural poor youth. The program will be a big boon for rural poor youth to improve their job prospects and enhance their standard of living.
