German technology giant SAP has made a significant leadership change in the Indian Subcontinent region. Manish Prasad has been appointed as the new president and managing director for the region, succeeding Kulmeet Bawa. Kulmeet Bawa, the outgoing president and MD, has taken on a global role to drive the growth and adoption of the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) for global customers.
In his new role, Manish Prasad will be responsible for advancing SAP’s move to the cloud. He will help customers across all industries in the region to digitally transform with SAP’s solutions.
Prasad is a technology veteran and a seasoned business leader at SAP. He has been instrumental in delivering strategic and impactful outcomes for some of India’s leading organizations across the metals, mining, and automotive industries.
With a career spanning over two decades, Prasad has extensive experience in building and managing global and regional businesses across multiple geographies, including North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
In his new role, Manish Prasad will be based in Bengaluru and will report to Paul Marriott, the president of SAP Asia Pacific Japan.
