Shailesh Jejurikar Appointed as Global CEO of Procter & Gamble (P&G)
Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced that Shailesh Jejurikar, its current Chief Operating Officer, will take over as the company’s Global President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2026. With this appointment, Jejurikar becomes the first Indian to lead the multinational consumer goods giant, marking a significant milestone for both the company and Indian leadership on the global corporate stage.
Shailesh Jejurikar will succeed Jon Moeller, the current CEO, who will transition into the role of Executive Chairman. This leadership change reflects P&G’s confidence in Jejurikar’s proven ability to deliver strong results and guide the company into its next era of growth.
In an official statement, the company praised Jejurikar as an outstanding leader, highlighting his ability to generate consistent results across multiple markets and business sectors.
Jejurikar’s association with P&G spans over three decades, having joined the company in 1989. He has been a member of the global leadership team since 2014, playing a crucial role in shaping the company’s business strategies and strengthening its operations.
During his tenure in leadership roles, Jejurikar emphasized innovation, research and development (R&D), and synchronized supply chain management. Under his guidance, the Fabric & Home Care sector delivered industry-leading results, demonstrating his capability to drive value creation through brand-building, operational efficiency, and customer trust.
