Shakira, the renowned Colombian singer, will be recognized with the prestigious ‘Latin Women of the Year’ award at the inaugural Latin Women in Music gala hosted by Billboard. With her exceptional music contributions spanning over three decades, Shakira has been titled as the ‘Queen of Latin Music’. The two-hour event will celebrate the achievements of prominent Latin women in the music industry and will be recorded at Miami’s Watsco Center, hosted by Ivy Queen and Jacqueline Bracamontes.

Over the course of her successful career, Shakira has been honored with several prestigious awards, including three Grammys, 39 Billboard Latin Music Awards, 12 Latin Grammys, and seven Billboard Music Awards. At a young age, Shakira founded the Pies Descalzos Foundation, which has constructed nine public schools in Colombia, reflecting her commitment to education.
