State Govt Launches Shramik Basera Scheme For Labourers

The Gujarat state government launched the Shramik Basera Scheme 2024. The Gujarat state government introduced the Shramik Basera Scheme 2024 to provide temporary housing facilities to the financially unstable, especially the laborers. As per the chief minister of Gujarat state, the government will set up 17 housing structures in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, and Rajot cities to provide housing facilities to the construction workers and laborers. With the help of this scheme, financially unstable construction workers or laborers did not have to worry about housing facilities. 

What is Shramik Basera Scheme?

Gujarat state government launched the scheme to make a qualitative change in the standard of living of all the construction workers and laborers in Gujarat state. Under the Gujarat Shramik Basera Scheme, the largest state government will build various dwelling structures where laborers or construction workers can stay. The citizens just have to pay INR 5 to stay in the dwelling center for a day. According to the government of Gujarat state a total of around 15,000 construction workers once the facilities are ready. For the implementation of this scheme, the Gujarat state government will spend a total of 1500 crores.

  • The applicant must be a daily laborer or a construction worker.
  • The applicant must be a financially unstable citizen.
