Sudarsan Pattnaik Becomes First Indian to Win Russia Grand Sand Master Cup 2026

Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha became the first Indian to win the prestigious Russia Grand Sand Master Cup of 2026. He received this award at the II International Festival of Sand Sculpture in the Russia on 11th of June, 2026. Pattnaik was honored for his exceptional contribution to the sand art and his thought provoking sculpture highlighting the issue of Global Warming.

Indian Sand Art Achieves The Global Recognition in Russia

The Russia Grand Sand Master Cup 2026 was awarded to Sudarsan Pattnaik during the II International Festival of Sand Sculpture which was held in Russia.

This festival brought together 12 leading sand sculptors from the different countries to showcase their creativity and the artistic skills.

Pattnaik’s sculpture had focused on the theme of the Global Warming and environmental conservation.
