TATA Power and the Indian Army collaborate: The Indian Army collaborated with Tata Powers to install 16 EV charging stations, in accordance with its “Go Green Initiative.” In several areas of Delhi Cantonment, charging stations have been installed. Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding Delhi Area, officially opened the installation of charging stations in cooperation with the nation’s largest integrated utility in the presence of army authorities and senior TATA Power and TATA Motors executives.

TATA Power and the Indian Army collaborate: Key Points

  • The GOC further asked everyone to support these environmentally friendly programmes in order to protect a clean environment as a duty to the next generation.
  • Virendra Goyal, the head of business development at TATA Power, talked at the occasion on the company’s partnership with the Indian Army.
  • The Indian Army announced its intention to introduce electric vehicles in Ladakh in October of this year.
  • Army officials stated that a portion of chosen units’ light vehicles—roughly 25%—buses—38%—and motorcycles—48%—were to be replaced with EVs with suitable charging infrastructure.
  • The Army may also supply a few peace station units with EVs, depending on the need for and viability of the vehicles.
