TCS Launches AI Unit, Appoints Amit Kapur as Head

In a landmark move for India’s IT industry, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country’s largest IT firm, announced the creation of a dedicated Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Services Transformation Unit. The company has appointed Amit Kapur, a TCS veteran with over two decades of experience, as the head of this new unit, effective September 2025.
