UP and Tripura CM Inaugurate Sidheshwari Temple
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha jointly inaugurated the newly built Sidheshwari Temple at Barkathal in Tripura on September 16, 2024. Yogi Adityanath also laid the foundation stone for the Ved Vidyalaya at Chitta Dham, Barakathal, Mohanpur, West Tripura.
He emphasized that double-engine governments, like those in Tripura and Uttar Pradesh, ensure that developmental works reach the grassroots level, contributing to a Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat. He praised the Tripura government’s efforts in creating a favorable development environment and stressed that cooperation from the people is crucial. He also highlighted the role of Sanatan religion in respecting all religions and noted that the country’s progress is driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
He remarked on the shift from an atheistic atmosphere in Tripura over the past 35 years to a renewed focus on religion under the current government. He expressed hope that the Sidheshwari Temple would become a prominent religious tourist center, alongside existing sites like Tripureshwari Temple and Fourteen Deity Temple. He acknowledged the efforts of Chitta Ranjan Maharaj, who has overseen the construction of 25 temples and the education of about one thousand five students in spiritual subjects.
