Malda is one of the oldest cities in West Bengal, with its roots tracing back to the 7th century. During the 18th century, Malda flourished as a center of a thriving cotton and silk industry, which added to its historical and economic importance.
Malda is situated along the Mahananda River, approximately 215 miles north of Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal. Its riverside location adds to its charm and makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike.
