Dharedu village in Kaithal district of Haryana is known as Mini Italy. Many people from this village have moved to Italy for work since the year 2000. Today, almost every house has someone living in Italy. Because of this and the village’s clean and modern look, it is called Mini Italy.

Around the year 2000, many young people from Dharedu went to Italy to find work. Slowly, more and more people from the village also went there. Today, almost every house in Dharedu has at least one family member living in Italy. Because of this strong connection with Italy, people starting calling Dharedu ”Mini Italy.”
