Digital Connexion to Invest $11 Billion in AI Data Centre in Visakhapatnam
In a landmark announcement on November 26, 2025, Digital Connexion, a joint venture of Brookfield, Reliance Industries, and Digital Realty, committed an $11 billion investment to build a 1 gigawatt (GW) AI-native data centre campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The facility is set to be completed by 2030, and marks one of the largest digital infrastructure projects in India’s history.
Spread over 400 acres, this massive AI data campus will be specifically designed for AI workloads, integrating cutting-edge computing technologies such as GPUs (Graphics Processing Units), TPUs (Tensor Processing Units), and other AI processors. The announcement was made during the CII Partnership Summit 2025, attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, IT Minister Nara Lokesh, and Reliance Executive Director P. M. S. Prasad.
