The famous TCS World 10k Bengaluru race will take place on 26 April 2026, and this year it has a special highlight. Well-known athlete Blanka Vlasic has been announced as the International Event Ambassador, bringing global attention and excitement to the event.
Blanka Vlasic is a former high jump star from Croatia and is considered one of the best in the sport. She has had a long and successful career. She won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
She has also won many medals in World Championships. Her best jump of 2.08 meters, achieved in 2009, is still a national record for Croatia and one of the highest jumps ever in women’s high jump.
Blanka Vlasic shared her happiness about joining the event. She said she feels honoured to be part of such a big race that brings thousands of people together.
She encouraged all participants to prepare well, give their best, and enjoy the journey. According to her, running is just about fitness but also about staying mentally strong.
Even after her active sports career, Vlasic is still connected to athletics. She is part of the “Champions for Peace” initiative and also serves as the Vice President of the Croatian Olympic Committee. She continues to support young athletes and promote sports.
