Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha Inaugurates 2nd State Level Shehri Samridhi Utsav

Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the 2nd State Level Shehri Samridhi Utsav organized by Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission at Children’s Park, Agartala. The event aimed at fostering urban livelihood opportunities and empowering women in the region.

Empowering Women: A Key Focus

  • In his address during the inaugural ceremony, Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering women.
  • He highlighted the efforts of the Prime Minister in placing women at the forefront of national development. The state government, he stated, is aligned with this vision and has implemented various schemes to foster women’s self-reliance.

Initiatives for Women’s Empowerment

  • Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha underscored key initiatives undertaken by the state government to support women’s empowerment.
  • Notably, 33 percent of government job seats are reserved for women, and 50 percent reservation has been allocated for women in the allotment of government market stalls and shopping complexes.
  • These measures aim to provide women with equal opportunities for economic participation and growth.

Inclusive Development: A Priority

  • The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to inclusive development, ensuring that the benefits of development projects reach even the most marginalized communities.
  • Under the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas,” the government prioritizes socio-economic upliftment, aiming to create a more equitable and prosperous society.
