CSIR-Central Road Research Institute develops “Kisan Sabha App”

CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI) has developed “Kisan Sabha App”. This app was remotely launched amid nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. This application has been rolled out to connect farmers to supply chain and freight transportation management system. The recently launched portal will be a single stop for every entity related to agriculture such as farmer who needs good price for the crops, mandi dealer who needs to connect to more farmers, and truckers who repeatedly go empty from the mandis.

About Kisan Sabha App:
The prime objective of Kisan Sabha app is to provide the most economical as well as timely logistics help to the farmers. It will help the farmers by providing the timely delivery of their produce at the best possible prices. It also aims to enhance their profit margins by minimizing interference of middlemen by directly connecting with the institutional buyers. It will provide maximum benefit to the farmers by facilitating them with best market rates of crops by comparing nearest mandis along with freight vehicle at cheapest costs.
