At a ceremony conducted at Air Force Station, Jodhpur in Rajasthan, Defence Minister (Raksha Mantri) Rajnath Singh officially admitted the locally produced Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) Prachanda into the Indian Air Force (IAF). LCH would join the 143 Helicopter Unit after being inducted. Prachanda is the name given to LCH. Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Rajnath Singh, Raksha Mantri stated that the addition of Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) not only strengthens the Air Force’s combat capabilities but also represents a significant step towards the achievement of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
