Historic Moment! India Sets Guinness Record for Most AI Pledges in 24 Hours
India has created a Guinness World Record by collecting over 2.5 lakh pledges for responsible artificial intelligence use within just 24 hours. The achievement was announced by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw during the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. A total of 2,50,946 valid pledges were recorded between February 16 and 17. The record was officially verified by a Guinness World Records adjudicator at the summit venue.
The AI responsibility pledge campaign was launched on February 16 under the IndiaAI Mission in collaboration with Intel India.
