India and UK Launch Critical Minerals Global Supply Chain Observatory

India and the United Kingdom have jointly launched the India-UK Critical Minerals Global Supply Chain Observatory (GSCO) in a National Capital. This initiative reflects the growing strategic partnership between the two countries in critical minerals, as they are essential for the clean energy technologies, electric mobility, advanced manufacturing and emerging industries.

The Critical Minerals Global Supply Chain Observatory

The India-UK Critical Minerals Global Supply Chain Observatory (GSCO) was formally launched by the Respectable G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Coal and Mines and Yvette Cooper of the United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary.

The launch ceremony was held in the New Delhi and attended by the senior government officials, industry representatives, researchers, academic institutions and policymakers from both countries.

The initiative marks the major milestone in the India-UK cooperation which aimed at to strengthening critical mineral supply chains and ensuring long-term resource security.
