India Sends Humanitarian Assistance to Syria

India has once again demonstrated its commitment to global humanitarian efforts by sending a consignment of humanitarian assistance to Syria. The aid package includes 5 Metric Tonnes of essential medicines aimed at supporting the Syrian people in their ongoing health crisis.

Details of the Humanitarian Assistance

According to a social media post by Randhir Jaiswal, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson, the consignment includes,

  • Anti-cancer drugs
  • Antibiotics
  • Anti-hypertensive medicines

These supplies are crucial for meeting urgent healthcare needs in Syria, which continues to face severe challenges due to prolonged conflict and limited access to medical facilities.

India’s Ongoing Support to Syria

India has been consistently providing humanitarian aid to Syria over the years, underlining its commitment to extend support to countries in crisis.
