In line with its focus on enhancing the welfare of Naval Civilians, the Indian Navy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance. This initiative is a key highlight of 2024, declared as the “Year of Naval Civilians.” It underscores the Navy’s commitment to financial security and inclusivity for its civilian workforce, particularly by offering affordable life insurance options, including term insurance, to safeguard their families in the event of an untimely death.
The agreement with Bajaj Allianz provides Naval Civilians with voluntary life insurance options at competitive rates. The policy ensures instant financial relief to families in case of the death of the employee or other covered circumstances, addressing a core concern of the workforce.
Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla emphasized the importance of this partnership, noting that the tailored insurance products reflect the Navy’s continued dedication to improving the quality of life for its civilian personnel and their families as part of broader HR management initiatives.
