MoLE & APNA Join Hands to Expand Job Opportunities
The Ministry of Labour & Employment (MoLE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with APNA, a leading job recruitment platform, to enhance employment opportunities for job seekers in India. This partnership is set to bring over 10 lakh job opportunities annually to the National Career Service (NCS) Portal, aiming to strengthen employment accessibility across the country. The initiative aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to connect job seekers with employers through digital platforms and structured hiring systems.
The NCS Portal plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between job seekers and employers, with over 40 lakh registered employers and 4.40 crore vacancies mobilized so far. At any given time, nearly 10 lakh active job listings are available on the portal. By integrating APNA’s database, the platform will offer a more extensive range of job opportunities across both metro cities and smaller towns, ensuring broader employment outreach.
Through this collaboration, job seekers will benefit from increased visibility and better job-matching services. The integration is expected to simplify the hiring process for both employers and candidates, making job search and recruitment more efficient. This move is particularly significant in the current job market, where digital hiring platforms are playing a bigger role in employment generation.
This collaboration is expected to improve hiring efficiency and create a transparent, structured recruitment system benefiting both job seekers and businesses looking for skilled candidates.
This initiative follows a series of employment-enhancing steps taken by the Ministry. In September 2023, MoLE partnered with several private job portals, including TeamLease HRtech (Freshersworld), Monster.com (foundit), and QUESS CORP Limited, to integrate their job listings with the NCS Portal. These collaborations aimed to provide free soft skill training and improve employability for job seekers .
Additionally, in June 2023, the Directorate General Resettlement (under the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare) signed an MoU with Apna.co to create employment opportunities for ex-servicemen transitioning into civilian careers .
By leveraging private sector partnerships, the government continues to enhance the job market, ensuring more employment options across different industries. This latest agreement with APNA is another step in making job search platforms more accessible and effective for millions of Indians.
