ONDC Consumer beta testing begin in 16 Bengaluru pin codes

Consumer beta testing for ONDC: In Bengaluru, the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), a technology similar to UPI that promises to democratise access to the internet for small enterprises, went live with its beta test. Consumers will be able to sample the new platform during the beta test, which will also allow for the gathering of insightful feedback. Customers may shop utilising buyer applications like Mystore, PayTM, and Spicemoney during the beta phase. By assisting them with catalogues and merchandise, seller apps let prospective merchants connect with buyers on the platform.

About ONDC:

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Government of India founded the private, non-profit Section 8 corporation known as Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) with the goal of fostering open e-commerce. It was incorporated on December 31, 2021, with the Quality Council of India and Protean eGov Technologies Limited providing the initial funding (formerly NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited). The ONDC is a set of specifications intended to promote open communication and connectivity between consumers, technological platforms, and retailers.
