PM Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Bharat Mobility Global Expo, Showcasing India’s Rise in Global Mobility

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, a groundbreaking event in India’s automotive landscape. Taking place from February 1-3 in the national capital, this expo aims to highlight India’s emergence as a global hub for mobility. With over 800 exhibitors and 50 overseas participants, the event covers the entire mobility value chain.

India’s Growing Role as an Export Hub

  • India, one of the largest vehicle markets, aims to increase the export share from the current 14% to 25% of all passenger vehicles by 2030.
  • The country plays a pivotal role in the future of the automotive industry, contributing to automotive software, next-gen electronics, and industrial automation.

International Participation

  • Representatives from 47 countries will join the expo, emphasizing its global significance.
  • The event focuses on fostering collaborations and partnerships between domestic and international stakeholders.

Diverse Showcase at the Expo

  • The expo will feature not only an auto show but also a large-scale tyre exhibition, the latest electric vehicles, and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Displays will include automotive components, urban mobility solutions (drones, batteries, charging stations), and information technology initiatives in EVs, hybrids, hydrogen, and CNG/LNG vehicles.

Strategic Networking Opportunities

  • The event aims to facilitate strategic networking through buyer-seller meets, providing a platform for businesses to establish valuable connections and partnerships.

Key Participants

  • Major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Motors, Kia India, Mahindra and Mahindra, and Hyundai Motor India will participate.
  • Participation extends to auto component makers (Acme Udyog, Subros), battery and storage companies (Amara Raja, HEG), top tyre makers, construction equipment manufacturers, steel manufacturers, and tech/startup players.
