Sahitya Akademi Award 2025 Announced: Full Winners List Across 24 Languages Revealed
The Sahitya Akademi Award 2025 are officially announced on 16th of march 2026. The award is recognizing outstanding literary works across the total 24 Indian languages. This prestigious literary honour is presented annually by Sahitya Akademi. It is India’s National Academy of Letters and it is to celebrate excellence in literature. This year the Sahitya Akademi Award 2025 includes the total 8 poetry collections, 4 novels, 6 short story collections, 2 essay books, 1 literary criticism work, 1 autobiography and 2 memoirs.
The Sahitya Akademi Award 2025 follows the standard selection procedure which is the established by the literary body.
This award process begin in January month 2025 when Sahitya Akademi released an open call invite the nominations for literary works in its recognized languages.
When the nomination phase completes the distinguished jury members representing each language carefully evaluated the submitted works.
The recommendations from jury were reviewed and finally approved by the competent authority of Sahitya Akademi.
