Tata Motors has appointed Rajan Amba as the Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover India. He will take charge on March 1, 2023. Amba replaces Rohit Suri, who announced his retirement earlier this year. Amba’s contributions have been instrumental in improving customer experience and expanding Tata Motors’ retail network. He has been spearheading the commercial teams since October 2020. Rajan will be replacing Rohit Suri, who announced his retirement from the position of MD and President back in January 2023.

Prior to joining Tata Motors, Amba was the Chief Operating Officer at Carat Lane. He also held several top managerial posts at Titan and Nike. Rajan Amba holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, and has completed MBA in Marketing from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
During his tenure in Titan, he has been instrumental in redefining the product design and language for the Titan brand as well as bringing a blend of science and art to the area of product line management. Rajan is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Calicut and Rajan completed MBA in Marketing from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. He started his career in 1990 with FILL and then worked in Nike, Titan Watches and Levi Strauss.
