After a decade-long hiatus, TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu is poised to reclaim the Chief Minister’s position in Andhra Pradesh, with his swearing-in ceremony scheduled for June 12 at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram airport.
Naidu will take the oath of office at 11:27 am, with elaborate arrangements being made for the event, expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers from other NDA-ruled states.
Initially considering Amaravati and later exploring AIIMS Mangalagiri, the TDP leadership opted for the IT Park in Kesarapalli near Gannavaram as the venue for the grand ceremony, after assessing various options.
Alongside Naidu, at least 10 senior leaders are expected to be sworn in on the same day, with further expansion of the cabinet planned subsequently. TDP’s national general secretary Nara Lokesh is slated to take oath as a minister as well.
Ahead of the ceremony, a TDP Legislative Party meeting is scheduled for June 11, where MLAs will formally elect Naidu as their leader. It’s anticipated that Naidu may announce the names of the ministers to be sworn in alongside him.
While the event is set to draw dignitaries from various political spheres, it’s unlikely that YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be in attendance.
