The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Foundation Board has re-elected independent President Witold Bańka and Vice-President Yang Yang for a third and final three-year term, effective January 1, 2026, through the end of 2028. Bańka secured 36 votes in favor with two abstentions, while Yang was unanimously re-elected. Both leaders expressed gratitude for the Board’s confidence and pledged to advance WADA’s mission of safeguarding clean sport worldwide by strengthening education, athlete engagement, and scientific compliance.
On June 1, 2025, the WADA Foundation Board conducted a virtual vote to re-elect its top leadership. This marks the duo’s third and final tenure, setting the stage for their concluding initiatives and legacy projects within the global anti-doping framework.
