Who is Sachin Tendulkar?

Sachin Tendulkar is a famous cricket player from India. Many people call him the “God of Cricket” because he is one of the best players the game has ever seen. He was born on April 24, 1973, in Mumbai, India.

What Did He Do?

Sachin played cricket for India for a very long time, from 1989 to 2013. During his career, he scored more runs and made more centuries (which means scoring 100 runs or more in a match) than any other player in the world. He played in two main types of cricket matches, called Test cricket and one-day internationals. Sachin made lots of records in both types.

Why Do People Love Sachin Tendulkar?

People love Sachin not just because he was a great player, but also because he was a good sport. He played the game with a lot of respect, worked really hard, and always behaved nicely, both on and off the cricket field. He showed that being a good person is as important as being a good player.

Sachin’s Records

Sachin has many records. He was the first player to score 100 centuries in international cricket. He also scored over 30,000 runs in his career. These achievements are very hard to reach, which is why he is so special in the cricket world.

Sachin Tendulkar Retirement

Even though Sachin retired from playing cricket, he is still involved in the game. He works to help young players and does a lot of charity work. He also got a very special award from India, called the Bharat Ratna, for his contributions to cricket. It’s the highest award a civilian can get in India.
